Impromptu Picnic

Today the kids and I had a picnic in our front yard. We pulled out an old blanket, made some PB & J's, grabbed a few snacks from the kitchen, and went outside to lay underneath the shade of an old oak tree. It was beautiful outside! What a treat!

Milla is in LOVE with "bewwies". She starts drooling and shouting out for her beloved bewwies whenever we pass by the fruit section of the grocery store. We let her devour a whole carton of raspberries at today's picnic. Here she is... Can you tell she has a passion for berries?

My sweet girl, Mary Alice... She is growing up too quickly!

And...the Maje...He was busy playing basketball when we set out the picnic things. He didn't want to stop his game long enough to eat lunch. We finally convinced him to come and join us in the shade.

Summer is almost officially here. We should be finished with our schoolwork by Friday. I can't wait until we can go swimming and have a real break from school, the kids' piano/art/ballet lessons, etc. We're almost there!
