We are so happy to announce the arrival of our newest little blessing. Milla Josephine Smith was born at 11:02 AM on New Year's Eve Day. What a wonderful way to close out 2008! Milla was 8 lbs and 2 oz. She is precious! Her favorite thing to do right now is eat eat eat...followed by her second favorite thing, sucking on her tiny fists. What a special gift from God she is!
She has a broken right collarbone due to a quick delivery. Other than that, we think she is absolutely perfect. Milla means "gentle" and "pure". Her middle name, Josephine, means "God will add". We are so thankful to God for this gift He has added to our family and can't wait to see what the future holds for little Milla.

Precious, precious. How do you pronounce the name? "Me-yah" or "Me-lah" or some other way? I love the meaning of her name, and don't Major and Mary Alice look proud of her?

Her name is pronounced "mill-uh", like Willa with an "m". The name is Polish, but I guess we pronounce it the Texas way. :) Oh, and, yes, the kids are very proud of their new little sis. :)
