Prayer Request
I would like anyone who reads this to please say a prayer for the baby of one of my closest friends, Brook. Yesterday morning she gave birth to her little boy, Clay. He was born several weeks premature and is a mere 2 lbs 5 ounces. He is doing okay, but the next few weeks are critical. Please pray for Brook, her husband Kyle, their other daughter Kendall, and sweet baby Clay. Clay is in a hospital in Huntsville. Brook said that this particular hospital has a great NICU, so that is a blessing. I know that the next few weeks and months will be hard on their family. She would really appreciate any prayers for her precious baby boy.

We will definitely be praying for Baby Clay and strenght for the parents too. What a wonderful heart you have for the Lord. You are such a sweet friend to all of us. Please keep us posted.
Oh my goodness, Amber! Poor Brook and Kyle. I can't imagine what they are going through. We will pray daily for baby Clay. Keep us updated on how he's doing.

I have talked with Brook throughout the week. She is hopeful at how well Clay is doing. He is gaining a little bit of weight and has been labeled as strong. She said that he has even been able to take some of her milk thorough a tube. He did have to have a spinal tap a few days ago. They were checking for meningitis (which, thankfully, he DIDN'T have). He did, however, have a blood infection, so they gave him antibiotics for that. When I talked with her on Friday, she said that Clay was doing well and to please continue praying for his progress. It is amazing what can be done now for babies this little! Please pray for their family as they undergo a stressful time and for the health of precious baby Clay!
